Meet Thomas & Greer

Thomas Watt & Greer Garner outside Fox Cottage, award winning bach in Opunake

Thomas and Greer at Fox Cottage, recognised as NZ Bach of the Year by Bookabach in 2018, along with a Silver Award for Hospitality.

Built on experience. Driven by perspective.

With over a decade of experience across real estate and marketing, we’ve seen first-hand how complex and competitive the property market can be particularly for buyers.

Too often, buyers are navigating the process without the right strategy, research, or negotiation support.

The Finders was created to change that.

The New Zealand real estate industry is heavily geared toward vendors, often leaving buyers without clear representation or guidance throughout the transaction. We saw a gap where purchasers were not being adequately supported, and created a dedicated buyers agency to ensure they have expert advice, advocacy, and confidence at every stage of the process.

Founded by Thomas and Greer, the agency brings together deep property expertise and modern marketing insight, combining industry knowledge with a more considered, strategic approach to buying.

With over 13 years in property sales, Thomas offers a strong understanding of market dynamics, negotiation, and how deals are structured behind the scenes.

Greer’s background in marketing and brand strategy, alongside a degree in Interior Architecture, brings a refined, design-led perspective, shaping how opportunities are identified, assessed, and positioned.

Together, their experience extends well beyond the industry. From fully renovating and selling their own villa, to owning investment properties, to living in a newly built townhouse, they bring first-hand insight across a wide range of property types and buying scenarios.

This is complemented by their experience owning and operating an award-winning 1910 bach in Ōpunake, recognised as NZ Bach of the Year in 2018 by Bookabach, a project that reflects a deep appreciation for character, craftsmanship, and the lifestyle potential of property.

The result is a perspective grounded in real experience, not just theory, and a service that understands both property value and the way people live.
